DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 14, 2004) -- Contingency programs for the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series and Grand-Am Cup Series are pouring in from a wide range of companies as the 2004 Grand American racing season is about to begin. More than two dozen companies have already signed up for the program that offers cash and other awards to top-finishing teams in both series with another dozen programs expected to be in place by the Daytona opener.

Grand American Director of Business Operations Patrick Murphy noted that eight new sponsors have joined one or both of the programs already this season with more expected. "There's more excitement in the air this year about Grand American racing than ever before," Murphy stated. "Everyone I talk to is tuned into what's going on in both our series, and they all want to be a part of it."

Murphy added that there is still time for companies to get involved in the program and anyone wishing to learn more can contact him at 386-947-6681.

The current listing of contingency program sponsors with award and requirement information has been posted in the Competition section of the Grand American website -- www.grandamerican.com. The listings will be updated regularly as new programs are put in place.
