(TORONTO) -- Compass360/Racing is pleased to announce their driver line-up for the Grand Am Cup Miami 250, to be held Sept 10-11 at the Homestead race track.

Skip Barber stand-out Jeff Hersh of Miami, FL, will join the Compass360/Racing in their run for the podium at Homestead. Hot off the heels of their sixth-place finish at Mid-Ohio in August, the team is aiming high in this, their first season of Grand Am Cup competition.

Hersh will join the team's season-long driver, Karl Thomson of Toronto, Canada, who was Ontario Regional Champion in 2003. He is currently 13th in the ST driver's championship and the Compass360/Racing team is ranked 11th.

"We think Jeff is going to be a great co-driver," said Ian McQuillan, Compass360/Racing's Crew Chief. "He knows the Homestead track intimately, and has a number of wins in both open wheel and BMW endurance racing. It's a challenging, slippery track, and his knowledge is going to help immensely." The Homestead race will be Hersh's first-ever Grand Am start.

Compass360/Racing finished 10th at Homestead earlier in the year, and with improvements that have been made to the car and the team, they are hopeful of a season-best top-five. The team campaigns a BMW Z3 Coupe in the series, which features ten races across North America.

Compass360/Racing is sponsored by Compass360 Design + Advertising, Hockley Autosport, mmwave Technologies, W3 Connex, and Nautical White Yachtwear. Gables Pawn & Jewelry has signed on as Jeff Hersh's sponsor for the Homestead race.
