Bodymotion Racing Signs Lamb and Lewis for VIR 6HR
10/3/06 -- Atlanta, GA -- Bodymotion Racing heads into this weekend's Grand Am Cup Grand Sport finale at VIRginia International Raceway 11th in points, on a mission to end the season in the top ten. The driver lineup in the team's Porsche 997 for the 6-hour race consists of Todd Lamb from Atlanta, GA; Shane Lewis from Jupiter, FL; and team owner Mike Bavaro from Colts Neck, NJ.
"We believe having three drivers will benefit us for a six hour race" said Bavaro, "and we are pleased to have both Shane and Todd behind the wheel of our Porsche 997." Both Lewis and Bavaro co-drove the Porsche at the previous race, while Lamb is new to the team after several races in the Street Tuner class. The team carries some momentum from the last race at Miller Motorsports Park, where they won the Bernheim Improve Your Position Award for finishing 14th after a mechanical issue in qualifying.
"I wasn't planning to run VIR until a week ago when Mike called, but I'm excited to join the team and help them with their goal of a top ten. I've watched the progress of the crew all season and feel confident that their mistake-free pit stops will be the key to our success with the number of stops required," said Lamb.
