Team BGB Rolls into Virginia With Legendary RUF Auto Centre On The Hood For A Three-Race Partnership

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Sept. 30, 2004 -- It's no secret that RUF has become synonymous with Porsche Performance. So when Hans G. Hoffman, Wayne Corley and Jacky Roffe were given the opportunity to launch the flagship RUF Auto Centre in the United States, they looked for a partnership that could not only provide excellent awareness for their opening in the US market but a team that could demonstrate performance on the track. RUF Auto Centre has found the perfect partnership with BGB Motorsports Group based in Daytona Beach Florida. Piloting the BGB #38 RUF Auto Centre entry this weekend at Virginia International will be the team of Mark Plummer and Guy Cosmo. This formidable pair has visited victory lane delivering the second win of 2003 for BGB Motorsports Group in last year's Virginia 250 and intend on giving RUF Auto Centre a good look at the checkered flag this time around.

In a phone conversation with Hans G. Hoffman, he talked about the need for US representation during the critical seeding of the RUF brand domestically. "My partners and I are so enthusiastic about the opportunity to build on the legend of RUF in the United States. The RUF Auto Centre will be opening November 1, 2004 and we need to start building our awareness in the States. What better way than with Grand American Cup and BGB Motorsports Group. We know Mark and Guy have delivered at Virginia last year, so we are hopeful for a solid result. We are partnering with BGB for the final three races of the season and look forward to building our relationship into 2005. BGB Motorsports Group is a top shelf organization that prides itself on performance. RUF Auto Centre will be delivering the premier performance based Porsches in the world. This is a good partnership for us."

The three principals of RUF Auto Centre, based in Dallas Texas, formed the company out of a love for Motorsports. All three have a passion for racing and an appreciation for performance. RUF Auto Centre will certainly have a head start on the business given Wayne was the #1 sales person at Boardwalk Porsche and Hans was Boardwalk's top producing advisor. Both have been awarded the top prize for customer service by Porsche North America.

BGB Motorsports Group is building their business and looking to field three newly built Porsche's in the GS class of Grand American Cup Competition as well as a GT3 Cup car in the Rolex Series for the 2005 season. The association with RUF Auto Centre has started the march for 2005. John Moore, Team Owner BGB Motorsports Group, is building an organization with Duane Neyer, BGB Managing Director, to compete for the Grand American Cup. "We have been building a solid foundation for BGB Motorsports. Our relationship with RUF Auto Centre demonstrates our commitment to ultimate Porsche Performance. I wish we could bolt on the RUF Turbo charger. Duane and I know we can deliver a championship to BGB Motorsports and this is a great start to building our franchise. We are going to be putting together a very healthy 2005 program with the potential of running up to 4 cars in both Grand American Cup and Rolex. We are very excited about our partnership with the RUF Auto Centre organization on many levels. Guy and Mark have delivered at VIR and we would love to see a repeat performance for our new partner."
