2003 contingency programs top $2.6 million.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 27, 2003) - Grand American Road Racing Association has released the contingency award listings that will be in effect for the Rolex 24 At Daytona weekend. A total of $2,618,240 is being offered for the 2003 season by 44 sponsoring companies for the Rolex Sports Car Series and the Grand-Am Cup Series.

"Grand American is proud of the support we get for our racers from the auto and racing industries," Grand American President Roger Edmondson commented. "In keeping with our goal of controlling the cost of racing, having the support of these companies and their contributions to our teams is invaluable."

Products supported by these awards range from automobiles to racing parts to garage gear with 26 companies offering awards in the Rolex Series and 29 companies participating in the Grand-Am Cup program. A complete listing of awards is available online at www.grandamerican.com.

"Contingency award programs are a great way for companies to influence sales to teams and to get real world exposure on race cars at events and through television coverage," noted Director of Communications Patrick Murphy. "Race fans trust brand names they see on race cars."
