Muehlner Motorsport announces Daytona 24H plans

Heading up for the 'Roar before the Rolex 24'

Francorchamps. The Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium based Muehlner Motorsport Team will take the start in the Rolex 24h of Daytona, which will take place from the 27th till the 30th January. But first they will participate in a multiple test before the actual 24h race. The roar before the 24, will take place from the 7th till the 9th January. The team has brought a brand new Porsche 911 GT3 Rolex Cup, they've already tested in December for a test at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Muehlner Motorsport will make its Gran-Am debut at the 2011 Rolex 24h of Daytona, the team hopes to eventually race in other additional events. Besides a motivated team, a competitive car, and excellent drivers, Muehlner Motorsport will also bring their profound knowledge. With eight Championship victories, 105 race wins and 242 podiums, there's no lack of experience possible.

The confirmed driver line-up up till now is; Peter Ludwig, Mark J. Thomas, who will also participate in the 24h of Dubai and Dion Von Moltke. The fourth driver will be announced shortly.

Team manager Bernhard Muehlner quotes: 'I look forward to challenge for the GT Class victory'. As the team knows how to have success in 24 hours races, thirty-three 24h races so far, a podium is very much within reach.

The Rolex 24h of Daytona will be the team's 35th 24hour race, in one week the 24hours of Dubai will be their 34th endurance race. With this amazing start, it's promising to be a stunning year for Muehlner Motorsport.
