DULLES, VA, September 12. In 2002 the Scuderia Ferrari of Washington took a decisive GT win at the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant. That victory, the team's fifth in a row, set a GrandAm record for consecutive GT wins. Team Manager Glenn Marquis comments, "The 2002 6 Heures was a flawless race for us, one of our most satisfying of the season. Le Circuit is a great track, and we've got some great memories of the weekend."

Now the Scuderia is preparing for the 2003 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant, and looking forward to repeating their success. The record-setting 2002 Ferrari 360 GT has been retired to backup status; the team has a newer version of the Ferrari, painted in the same "Rosso Scuderia" color used on Ferrari's F1 team. "The cars are almost identical," explains Marquis, "but the new cars has just a little more development, and it's already proven to be a winner this year."

Cort Wagner remains with the Scuderia to defend his GrandAm Drivers Championship. Experienced racer Brent Martini joined Wagner this year, and the pair has already taken five wins. They're currently leading the 2003 GrandAm GT Drivers Championship.

For Wagner, this weekend will be a return to one of his favorite circuits. "Le Circuit is a genetic cross breeding of Road Atlanta and VIR. It's got some great corners that challenge the testicular size, as well as some technical corners," he raved. "The facility is stunningly beautiful, and it's only four minutes from a wonderful Swiss-style village in the Mont-Tremblant area by a lake. There are plenty of great restaurants, hotels and shopping. This track has everything for the driver and the spectator, and we hope it has another win for our Ferrari and for Girard-Perregaux."

Girard-Perregaux watches remains the Scuderia's primary sponsor; their limited edition "360 GT" chronograph was created to recognize the team and its Ferrari racer.

Market Scan Information Systems has joined the Scuderia as a major sponsor. The company, founded in 1988, is an innovation leader in developing financing software solutions for automotive retailers.

Associate sponsors for the Scuderia's 2003 season are the Peris Companies, Putnam Leasing, and Tubi Style. The Peris Companies was founded in 1991 as a tenant interiors contractor, but has evolved into one of Washington, D.C.'s top regional construction service companies. Putnam Leasing, with offices in Greenwich, Connecticut and Scottsdale, Arizona, is one of the oldest specialty vehicle leasing companies in the United States, with extensive experience in the Ferrari market. Tubi Style is the leading after-market supplier of sporting exhaust systems for Ferraris and other exotic cars.

The 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant will be broadcast live on the SPEED channel, beginning at 11 AM (EDT) on Sunday, September 21st. Live timing and scoring data will be available at www.grand-american.com on the Internet.
