Team Turbo Performance wins Le Circuit Mont Tremblant 6-Hour race; Team Tpc celebrates successful Canadian double-header.

(Mt. Tremblant, CANADA / 14 Sept., 2002) All around him, Michael Levitas saw nothing but beauty. While racing at the picturesque Mt. Tremblant Raceway, Levitas and his Team Turbo Performance Racing Team performed beautifully all weekend, racing in both Saturday's Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series event and Sunday's 6-Hour Grand-Am Endurance event.

There was nothing more beautiful this weekend than the whole team's performance.

By now, most road racing fans are familiar with the 'splat and yellow' Team Turbo Performance Center Porsche GT-3 Cup Cars Sponsored by TPC Superchargers, Ajilon Consulting and Fred Baker Porsche/Audi. The team arrived in Canada with reason to feel confident in their chances for a good weekend. they left Canada with a trailer full of trophies and a lot more people aware of just who this team is and what they are all about.

The highlight of the weekend was the team's first place in class (8th overall) in Sunday's Le Circuit-Mont Tremblant 6-Hour Race. Levitas decided to enter in the event and quickly enlisted co-driver Fast Freddy Baker and TPC Newcomer Joe Nonnamaker.

"I just feel like we had a good strategy plan in place," Levitas commented. "We came into the weekend with a certain amount of confidence based on our understanding of the new Euro-spec Porsche GT-3 chassis. It took us a few races to get it dialed in, but the guys have really nailed the set up for these natural terrain road courses. It feels awesome to perform this well in our first Rolex Grand-Am event, not to mention the team's overall performance on Saturday."

Saturday's Grand-Am Cup event saw the #18 TPC Porsche GT-3 Cup piloted by Levitas and Baker. The pair have been knocking on the winner's circle door all season and this weekend was no different. The pair were able to grab yet another top-10 finish at Mont Tremblant, bringing the car in at 9th place overall.

The TPC team brought in popular sports car pilot Bill Auberlin and co-driver Joe Nonnamaker to drive the #23 TPC Superchargers, Ajilon Consulting, Fred Baker Porsche/Audi sponsored Porsche GT-3 Cup Car. The pair had never driven the car previous to this event and were able to manage a second place finish, starting from 11th.

"The car simply was prepared right and I am happy that we were able to give those guys a good ride, Levitas continued. "They are both great drivers and I look forward to bringing in a host of other well-known talent to get behind the wheel of our racecars for the remainder of the season."
