(July 4, 2001) John Macaluso (Winter Haven, FL) team owner and driver of the #6 Miracle Motorsports/Serta Mattress entry will travel to Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI, July 5-8 for round 7 of the Grand Am Road Racing Series. The four-mile, 14-turn permanent road course is the longest on the Grand-Am schedule allowing drivers to reach speeds nearing 200 mph as they vie for a spot in Victory Lane.

This will be the first race back for the #6 Miracle Motorsports Team after the incident at Watkins Glen involving the #15 Fordahl Porsche. The chassis and tub were sent back to Riley and Scott for a crack check, when the green light was given, the crew, headed up by Chief Mechanic Bruce Holley, began rebuilding. Missing two races, the Grand Prix of Lime Rock and the ConAgra Foods U.S. Road Racing Classic from Mid-Ohio, the driving team of John Macaluso, Brent Sherman (Barrington, IL), and Ross Bentley (Vancouver, BC) are excited to return to the series with the Road America 500.

Friday morning practice sessions kick off the weekend's activities, with Rolex Sports Car Series qualifying to be held on Saturday afternoon, at 1:10 pm. The Road America 500 commences at noon on Sunday, and will be televised on the Speedvision Network Sunday, July 22 at Noon. All times are EST.
