HOMESTEAD -- Mauro Baldi captured the pole position for Sunday's Grand-Am Nextel 250, lapping the Homestead-Miami Speedway road circuit at 122.264 miles per hour in the Lista/Doran Special Ferrari-Judd.

Baldi took the top position when a failed airbox inspection disqualified the Ford Lola of Oliver Gavin, who ran a lap of 122.361 mph. Gavin will be allowed to requalify Saturday, but can start no better than 21st.

James Weaver will start second in a Riley and Scott Ford, qualifying at 122.219 mph. Making up the second row will be Jack Baldwin in a Riley and Scott Judd, and David Besnard in a Riley and Scott Ford.

Saturday's schedule includes a three-hour Motorola Cup race, with NASCAR Busch Series regulars Hank Parker Jr. and Lyndon Amick flying from Friday night's Busch Series race at Richmond to participate at Homestead.

Tickets for Saturday's activities will be sold at the gate for $10, with Sunday tickets costing $15.
