Crown Royal Special Reserve to Sponsor Inaugural Rolex Series Visit to Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 4, 2006) - Crown Royal Special Reserve whisky will be the title sponsor of the inaugural Crown Royal Grand American Challenge of Long Beach on Saturday, April 8, part of the 32nd Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend.

The company also is the presenting sponsor of the entire 2006 series, now called the "Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve," and primary sponsor of the #39 Crown Royal Special Reserve/Cheever Racing Porsche Crawford co-driven by Christian Fittipaldi and team owner Eddie Cheever Jr.

The Crown Royal Grand American Challenge of Long Beach marks the debut of the Rolex Series Daytona Prototypes at the famed seaside circuit. The race will be run in an exciting new format -- a 90-minute "sprint" race with a minimum of one pit stop and driver change, and is expected to attract a field of 25-plus cars.

"Our brand has done many things in motorsports that no other spirits company has ever done before," said Jim Lorenz, Brand Director, Crown Royal. "Being involved as title sponsor of the first-ever Grand American race at the famed Long Beach circuit is just the latest example of this, and gives the Special Reserve brand a prestigious platform to connect with passionate race fans and promote messages relating to responsible drinking."

Tickets for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, featuring six racing events including the Crown Royal Grand American Challenge of Long Beach, can be purchased from the Grand Prix ticket office by calling the toll-free ticket hotline at (888) 82-SPEED. A handy ticket brochure -- which includes circuit map, grandstand and parking locations, ticket prices and order form -- can be obtained by calling the ticket hotline. Ticket prices range from $35 for Friday/Saturday general admission up to $115 for a three-day ticket that includes Saturday and Sunday reserved seats in upper levels of the grandstands.
