James Weaver, Butch Leitzinger and Andy Wallace combined to give Dyson Racing its sixth triumph in the Grand American Road Racing Association's inaugural season. Weaver, who had a hand in all six triumphs, wrapped up the SportsRacer championship by winning under caution in the Six Hours at Watkins Glen International.

Dennis Spencer and Rich Grupp scored their first victory in SportsRacer Lights, but Larry Oberto and Ryan Hampton managed to win the championship despite finishing third, well off the pace.

Also sharing the championship were Saleen Allen Speedlab teammates Terry Borcheller and Ron Johnson, who won their seventh race of the season in a Saleen SR.

Mike Fitzgerald won both the race and the GTU title, joining Darren Law in winning their sixth race of the year. The pair finished sixth overall, ahead of all the GT class competitors.

Spirit of Daytona teammates Doug Goad and Craig Conway won their sixth race of the year in American GT, but Doug Mills won the championship by virtue of a second place finish. Andy McNeil, who the championship up until Friday night's qualifying race, saw his chances evaporate due to a lengthy stop for a transmission change.
