Derhaag Motorsports names Justin Bell for Homestead



March 14, 2006 (Shakopee, MN) Justin Bell (Delray Beach, FL) will join Derhaag Motorsports for Round 3 of the Grand American Road Racing Series at the Homestead-Miami Speedway March 25, 2006. He will team with Randy Ruhlman (Greensboro, NC) in the No. 40 Preformed Line Products Pontiac Riley. Bell won the 1997 FIA GT2 championship and the 1998 Le Mans 24 Hour race. He has competed numerous times at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, with multiple class victories. The Great Britain native was also the 2001 Trans-Am Rookie of the Year, scoring two wins in Trans-Am competition. Bell has competed with Derhaag Motorsports in the past in Trans-Am and at Daytona, where he set the 2003 GTS qualifying record, and most recently with the # 40 Derhaag Motorsports entry at the 2006 Rolex 24 at Daytona, finishing the race in a very respectable 14 place, with co-drivers Randy Ruhlman, Chris Bingham, and Ron Fellows.

Bell replaces Chris Bingham of Clyde Hill, WA, who will be serving a one-race suspension following his involvement in an altercation during the event in Mexico City 2 weeks ago.
