João Barbosa and Perspective Racing Team ready to win the Dark Dog Daytona 3 hours!
Riviera Beach,FL. (November 7th, 2002) - Fully recovered from their disappointing DNF at the Grand American Road Racing Mt. Tremblant 6 hours, Perspective Racing's Mosler Racing team of João Barbosa, this time co- driven by Michel Neugarten from Monte Carlo are ready for their participation in the Dark Dog Daytona 3 hours, to take place from 6th- 10th November at Daytona International Speedway.
The Dark Dog Daytona 3 hours for the Rolex Sports Car Series is a 3 hour race, and will begin at approximately 01.00 - p.m. Barbosa and Neugarten will be racing #24 (GT Class), a Mosler MT900R run by Perspective Racing. Earlier this year, the triumph at the Nextel 250 gave the MT900 it's first- ever win in the GT class.
Joao Barbosa is looking forward to the race and to notch up another win, which will place him in the 2nd place in the Championship and finish the season on a high note:
"Daytona is one of my favorite circuits and for the Perspective Racing Team. It is a very challenging track with some very high speed areas and some very difficult, technical corners. I had the Pole for the Rolex 24 earlier this year, and I am confident that the Team and I will achieve a good result and challenge the Ferrari for a class win as well as for the points that will put us in 2nd place in the championship. For this race I will be co-driven again by Michel Neugarten, with whom I have raced before, and we can repeat the good work that we did at other races. The team and I are very motivated to win the race and to conquer the 2nd place in the Championship, and we will fight to the end. We just hope that this time, lady luck will be on our side."
