Zen mode

Some drivers chase the adrenaline rush of racing. Marc Sluszny, who drives the No. 63 (traders) Porsche with Derek Clark, Pat Flanagan and Dave Master, enjoys a different state.

"When you get to a point where you're so concentrated, in race-car driving and in sky-diving, you're in a kind of Zen mode, which is like a meditation," he explained. "If you would just meditate, it would take you longer to get into it. The same thing happens if you do another sport -- if you do marathon racing, you get into that zone, also. But with race-car driving, you get it as soon as you put your belts on and you have the motor turning."
