FARFUS with Ferrari JMB Racing USA ready to start.

Today, at 01 p.m. in USA, the Brazilian Augusto Farfus Junior (Credicard and Varig driver) will be starting one of the most important races in his life. Not a one hour and half race (the medium time required by the European F.3000 race), but a 24 hours race!

As team mate, on the Ferrari 360 Modena GT of JMB Racing USA Team Ferrari, Augusto has the French Emmanuel Collard, and the Italians Andrea Garbagnati and Max Papis, winner of the previous 2002 edition.

Quite satisfied at his debut on this GT car, Farfus said: "It's a car completely different from my Lola F.3000 so I'm trying to improve my feeling with this Ferrari 360 Modena. To race the 24 Hours of Daytona is a dream for most the drivers I know so.. being here makes me more happy and motivated to do well".

The Ferrari #20, driven by the group of Farfus, finished the qualifying session securing the 31st place on the grid (that corresponds to the 12th position of their category GT) despite some problems on the gearbox that accompanied them until the end of the qualifying session. "We have the 31st position" -- Augusto said - "We could have done better for sure if we had not have the problem at the gearbox. Anyway--we are not scared! The race is long and many things can happen".

The Rolex 24 hours of Daytona, annual appointment for a lot of fans from all over the world, will finish on Sunday 02nd February at 01 p.m., USA time.
