When they came to the Brickyard for their inaugural race last year, Fall-Line Motorsports had very fast M3s and were in contention to win the race. Al Carter and Hugh Plumb wanted to be the first to win at Indy but after only a few laps while Al Carter was running third, he got spun by an ST car and lost a lot of time for repair. This year Al Carter and Hugh Plumb come to Indianapolis with momentum. They recently scored their first podium finish at Watkins Glen and are looking for another top performance at the iconic speedway. Fall-Line Motorsports led by Team Manager Michael Harvey, won the race at Watkins Glen with their No. 46 car and they too would want to confirm.

Al Carter will have his hands full on Friday at the Brickyard. In addition to racing the No. 45 BMW in the Brickyard Sports Car Challenge with co-driver Hugh Plumb, round 7 of the 2013 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Al will also drive the No. 46 Fall-Line Motorsports Audi R8 in the GT class of the Rolex Sports Car Series Brickyard Grand-Prix on Friday afternoon. Al Carter will co-drive the Audi R8 with Charles Espenlaub and Brett Sandberg for the second time this season.

“Our B+ Fall-Line racing team heads to Indy with some serious momentum coming off our wild podium finish at Watkins Glen. Our BMW qualified up front and was running up front with a good chance of winning in 2012 before we got tangled up with a slower ST car. We're expecting to contend with the front runners again this year. Also, making my second start in Fall-Line's new Audi R8 in the Rolex Sports Car Series. So our Brickyard weekend will be busy and exciting. Hugh and I begin the race weekend Wednesday with our annual visit to the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and I am really pleased to return there” said Carter.

Hugh Plumb is happy to return to the Brickyard and is also looking forward to a great event. “Had a great car at Indy last year started at the front and got crashed out early. This year I expect a whole lot more. Fall-Line Motorsports will for sure give us a good car to do what we need to do. The No. 45 Eagle Tech / B+ Foundation / Jetset Magazine BMW has lots of momentum after the Glen and I want to keep it going” confirmed Hugh.

Just a year ago the B+ Racing Fall-Line Motorsports BMW changed color scheme and went from an original Fall-Line dark blue with white stripes to a very modern yellow design by artist Scott Kyle from Mpire Creative in Florida. The No. 45 new design has been very popular amongst children, especially when Carter and Plumb visit hospital to meet kids battling cancer before key races. On Wednesday, Carter and Plumb will continue their “B+ Foundation Fighting Childhood Cancer Tour” and will tour the Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St Vincent in Indianapolis. Visiting kids in their hospital rooms is a rewarding experience for Carter and Plumb who each time are able to spend time with smaller kids and young adults, talk about racing, and ultimately bring a smile to children’s faces.

Since 2011 when Al Carter offered his Fall-Line Motorsports BMW to The B+ Foundation to display the name and logo of the foundation on his race car, The B+ Foundation racing program has been very successful. Many racing fans have been able to hear about the foundation, the touching story of Joe McDonough’s family, and its program and learn more about childhood cancer. 46 kids are diagnosed every day with cancer and, thanks to programs like this one, more people hear about childhood cancer and get an opportunity to help and donate to non-profit organizations like The B+ Foundation.

“The B+ Racing Program has been a huge success for The B+ Foundation since 2011,” announced Joe McDonough, co-founder with his wife and daughter of The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. “Not only have drivers, Al Carter and Hugh Plumb, enjoyed great success on the track, but a great deal of awareness has been generated for our battle against childhood cancer”.
