Scott Pruett/Memo Rojas and the No.01 TELMEX Lexus Team
Breaking the Barber Barrier: The No.01 TELMEX car scored its highest finish at BMS in 2004. The team finished third during its inaugural season in Rolex Series competition, which had Pruett and co-driver Max Papis behind the wheel. The team's anticipation runs high to gain their first win at BMS especially after winning their first sprint race at Daytona on July 3, with the closest finish in Grand-Am Rolex Series history (.081 second).
KidZone Appearance: Pruett and Rojas will be visiting the BMS Chick-fil-A Kid Zone this Saturday at 2 p.m. CT. Fans will have the chance to interact with the CGRFS drivers and have photos taken and autographs signed.
Good Guys Auto Show: Pruett visited the Good Guys Auto Show in Columbus, Ohio, last week as an Air Ride Technologies' guest and was able to indulge in his passion for cars, especially hot rods. Pruett states "coming to these shows it's amazing how many hours and expense goes into doing some of these cars. I mean all this is hot rod stuff...I'm like a kid in a candy shop right now checking out all this cool equipment."
Continuing the Consistency: Pruett and Rojas continue to add to the No.01 TELMEX car's two-year streak of scoring top-10 finishing positions and completing every lap of each race (since June 29, 2006).
Atop the Standings: Pruett and Rojas will enter Sunday's event at BMP with their largest points margin all season (40) over the No.99 car as the TELMEX team continues to hold the championship points lead into Round #9. The TELMEX duo has entered each race this season as the points leader and has led 477 laps of 1,394 total laps run this season.
No.01 TELMEX: Seven previous race starts. Four wins, Homestead-Miami, VIR, Watkins Glen Six-Hour and Daytona 250 (2008). One pole position, Mexico City (2008)
