Al Carter and Hugh Plumb ready for a busy week at Daytona

The two B+ Racing drivers will compete in both the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and the Rolex 24 at Daytona this weekend.

Wilmington, DE Announced a week ago, the 2013 Eagle B+ (Be Positive) Racing program of Al Carter and Hugh Plumb is about to start this week at Daytona.

Al Carter and Hugh Plumb will race in the two Grand-Am races this week at Daytona International Speedway. The two drivers will race in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season opener on Friday with Fall Line Motorsports and their No. 45 Eagle Tech/B+ Foundation/Jetset Magazine/MOMO BMW M3. They will also co-drive the No. 45 Magnus Racing Porsche GT3 entered in the GT class with Mark Boden, Charlie Putman and Charles Espenlaub in the grueling Rolex 24 At Daytona.

To celebrate the 3rd year of their program, The B+ Foundation, Al Carter and Hugh Plumb announced an exciting fund raising program named “The B+ Foundation Challenge” to be implemented this week at Daytona. Carter and Plumb’s 2013 Daytona program with Fall-Line Motorsports and Magnus Racing will be used to: 1/Raise money for The B+ Foundation from corporate donations, racing fans donations at the track and via a text to give program (Text “FIGHT” to 80 000 and make a $10 donation to The B+ Foundation). 2/Increase awareness of The B+ Foundation during the race weekend itself.

In 2011 cancer survivor, Carter, and Plumb joined Fall-Line Motorsports and had two successful seasons co-driving the No. 45 Fall-Line Motorsports B+ Foundation BMW M3 in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. In 2012, Carter and Plumb ran up front all season and after leading the driver and team championships for a while, their team finished 5th overall in the championship. As they return to one of their favorite tracks, Al Carter and Hugh Plumb have great expectations for their 2013 season and this week’s GRAND-AM 200.

AL CARTER’S PRE-RACE: “I am really excited to continue our racing program with Hugh Plumb and Fall-Line Motorsports,” announced Al Carter. “This year is a key season for us and I know we are going to do well with this team that is really motivated. We are still in search of our illusive first win but I am confident it should come sooner than later. I am pleased to announce our new partner Eagle Tech and I am looking forward to continuing our “B+ Fighting Childhood Cancer Tour” with The B+ Foundation and meeting our B+ Heroes during the hospital visits. I can’t wait to be in Daytona. We are ready to rock and roll!”

HUGH PLUMB’S PRE-RACE: “2013 is going to be really successful for all of the partners that make this Eagle B+ Foundation operation compete at such a high level,” announced Hugh Plumb. “I am so thankful to be a part of this effort and to have them continue to believe in me. I am really excited to race with Al Carter and be one of the 2013 championship contenders. I am also proud to get an opportunity to represent Eagle Tech, The B+ Foundation, Jetset Magazine and the other partners. Thanks to Joe McDonough’s B+ Foundation and our program, I am also very honored to play a key role in promoting the fight against childhood cancers”.

As part of the 2013 Eagle B+ Racing program the “B+ Fighting Childhood Cancer Tour” will continue this year. Before each key race, Al Carter and Hugh Plumb with the B+ Foundation will visit a children’s hospital to meet kids with cancer and deliver The B+ (Be Positive) message and bring smiles to the children’s faces. The first stop of the 2013 tour is scheduled on Tuesday, January 22 at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida.
