Oscar Tunjo has joined Jenzer Motorsport for the 2016 edition of the GP3 series, the team has announced.
Tunjo, 20, made his GP3 debut with Trident last year and won from ninth on the grid in just his fourth race in the category at Spielberg.
However, the Colombian left the team just after one more round and did not re-emerge for the rest of the season.
He subsequently appeared in the recent GP3 pre-season test at Estoril, running with Jenzer for all three days, and has now landed a race seat with the Swiss squad.
"In Oscar we have a very experienced and strong-willed driver," said team boss Andreas Jenzer in the announcement. "The goal, of course, is top results."
Tunjo's accolades prior to GP3 include finishing runner-up to current LMP2 star Richard Bradley in Formula BMW Pacific in 2010 and spending three years as a Formula Renault 2.0 frontrunner.
The former Lotus F1 junior joins Akash Nandy in Jenzer's 2016 line-up.
