Esteban Finishes Seventh and Continues as the absolute leader of the GP3
Spa Francorchamps, Belgium -- In the last race of the seventh round of the GP3 Series 2010 season, ART Grand Prix's driver, young Mexican talent Esteban Gutierrez, did an intelligent race after starting from 16th on the grid and managed to climb up several positions and finish seventh.
After this weekend, Gutierrez leads the championship with 75 points. He has led the series since the second event of the season. The Mexican driver has an 18 point gap over his closest and only contender, Status GP's driver Robert Wickens, in the fight for the GP3 title in the series' inaugural year.
Only one event remains in the calendar, which will take place at the historical track of Monza, on September 11-13, where Esteban expects to close on a high note his journey through the competitive European series to continue making history and putting the name of Mexico at the top of international motorsport.

"This was a very difficult weekend, probably the one with the most ups and downs of my career, although not necessarily the worst of them. After all, we managed to regain some of what was lost from the penalties we received on each race."
"In a way, even though we did not gain many points, we achieved many positive things. One of them is that I was able to develop and learn new overtaking techniques and, as a team, we tried strategies that worked very well through the weekend."
"Thanks to God, after an experience like this, we can analyze our race from a different point of view, and we were able to remain strong, with a cold head despite the penalties that impacted our weekend in many aspects."
"We will continue working the same way, focused on the last race at Monza to achieve what has been our objective since the beginning of the season, to close with another win."
