Team RSC Mucke Motorsport takes new attempt to the GP3 points hunting - races seven and eight have to bring something to count
Berlin/Silverstone (rol/ot) The German Team RSC Mucke Motorsport takes a new attempt to get into the points ranking at the GP3 Series this weekend (9th to 11th of July) at Silverstone (England). The races seven and eight, which are scheduled in the main program of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Great Britain on this traditional track, ^Ahave to bring something to count finally", team principal Peter Mucke tells. ^AWith Nigel Melker on pole position two times we already could gather four points yet. But then in the races we missed out on luck to get into the points ranking or our drivers have been transported off track by combatants like at the end of June at Valencia (Spain)".
The principal of the only German racing stable at the GP3 Series, that has Ralf Schumacher (the RSC in the team name stands for the former Formula 1 driver and actual Mercedes DTM pilot) as a prominent combatant and partner between his rows, is sure about the fact that there are three drivers and three cars that have the potential to get a position at the podium. ^AThe whole team did a really good job the last three racing weekends. Now it is time for us to reward us for that", explains Peter Mucke. The RSC Mucke drivers Nigel Melker, Renger van der Zande (both Netherlands) and German Tobias Hegewald (Waldbreitbach) share this opinion as well.
Hegewald, which graduated short time ago, has been one position behind the points ranking on nine at Valencia at the race on Saturday. And at the race on Sunday he has been on position five until two laps ahead the finish line before a competitor transported him off track. The day before Nigel Melker almost had the same destiny (being on position three) and Renger van der Zande as well at his first Valencia run. ^AI think our guys will show a good performance at Silverstone", underlines team principal Peter Mucke.
