Race 2 winner ART's Alexander Rossi, Status GP's Robert Wickens and Carlin's Dean Smith.

GP3 Series: Alexander great win today, talk us through your start.

Alexander Rossi: I had a decent start for me. I think Josef got a better one but in the end I held on into turn one.

GP3 Series: From then on you seemed to have a fairly quiet race.

Alexander Rossi: Yes, it was a good race and Josef kept me honest. I tried to go for quickest lap at the end but couldn't do it and I was short by one tenth in the end but that's the way it goes sometime. I feel bad for Josef because it would've been good to have an American 1-2.

GP3 Series: There are just two rounds left this season, what's your game plan?

Alexander Rossi: Well Nico and Robert had another better weekend than me so that hurt a bit and obviously with Esteban being a championship ahead the focus has turned to second place and we will do everything we can to accomplish that. I'm comfortable with Spa so we will see what happens there. We do everything we can one race at a time.

GP3 Series: Robert congratulations, talk us through your race.

Robert Wickens: From my point of view it was a good race. I started from fifth and had a good start to take fourth place into turn 1 and then was able to get Smith into the chicane and ran a comfortable third for the whole race. I tried to to do the best i could to stay with newgarden but unfortunately at this track you lose too much downforce and it was impossoble.

I feel terrible for Josef having a mechanical problem running in second because he had a good run going and was driving a good race but on flip side it feels nice to be on the benefitting side of misfortune. Recently it felt like it was always me to dropping out of the race. I'm definitely pleased with second and got fastest lap so it's an 11 point weekend and I can't really complain.

GP3 Series: Were you aware that Esteban could've taken the Series crown this race?

Robert Wickens: Yes I knew if he won and didn't score points he would've clinched it but it is what it is. The damage was done earlier in the season so what I do now won't really change anything. It's in Esteban's hands and I just need to go out and try to win as many races as possible. We can still get a strong second and make a name for ourselves. Plus, it's still mathematically possible so I'm going to keep going until it isn't.

GP3 Series: Dean talk us through what happened at the start of the race. You seemed to get away well.

Dean Smith: Yes, I had a really good start and was into fourth at the first corner and then just throughout the race had a really positive front end but struggled with the rear of the car. The track was quite a lot different from yesterday and then throughout the race I tried to keep consistent times and ended up with a podium.

GP3 Series: You were quite lucky at the end to the misfortune of your teammate.

Dean Smith: Yes my teammate did an excellent job and his car was really good. The team's done a fantastic job this weekend as you can see from that second race: we started second, third and fourth. As a team we are moving forward in leaps and bounds, and understanding F1 weekends as quickly as we can. I hope now we can get on the podium more often.
