Team RSC Mucke Motorsport without the hoped for points at the GP3 race at Budapest - Peter Mucke: "Now we have our focus on Spa"
Berlin/Budapest (rol/ot) Without the hoped for points the three drivers of the German Team RSC Mucke Motorsport from Berlin are coming home after the races eleven and twelve of the GP3 series that has been on 31st of July to 1st of August in the main program of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Hungary. The Netherland Renger van der Zande, which has been the best driver of the racing stable from the German capital city on position nine on Saturday, discarded early at the first lap on Sunday after a collision having a broken front axle. The German Tobias Hegewald (Waldbreitbach), that has been on position 15 on Saturday, also discarded at the 12th season run in the fifth lap having front axle problems as well.
The only RSC Mucke pilot finishing the Sunday race has been the Netherland Nigel Melker, that started from position 23 (Saturday-placing) and made his way up to position 14. "But then he was stuck behind a group of cars and couldn't go further up to front. Overtaking is almost impossible at the Hungaroring at Budapest", explained team principal Peter Mucke, that has Ralf Schumacher (the RSC in the team name stands for the former Formula 1 and actual Mercedes DTM pilot) as a prominent combatant and partner between his rows. "We want to get past this weekend very quick now and have our focus on the next season event at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) at the end of August", told Peter Mucke.
Winners of the races at Budapest have been the Switzerland Nico Muller (Saturday) and Alexander Rossi from the USA (Sunday).
