Trident Racing ended the Silverstone weekend of the 2013 GP2 Series with Kevin Ceccon ending up Race 2 in 12th place.
Unfortunately, Nathanael Berthon was forced to retire due to a gearbox issue on lap 3.Ceccon was off to a spectacular comeback drive and his pace proved quick despite being stuck in the midpack traffic after a great start from the back of the grid.
With the round at Silverstone now complete, Teams and Drivers will be back on-track soon with the next round starting in a few days at the German Nurburgring venue.
Kevin Ceccon: “Usually when you start from the back is really tough to be pleased. Today though I had lots of fun and I think I drove a solid race.
We still lacked a little performance to aim for the top spots, but I clearly see us back to the same competitive level of Monte Carlo for the next round at the Nurburgring.
This weekend was conditioned by the weather experienced in qualifying, but I hope to fight back in a few days in Germany".
Nathanael Berthon: “My race has been very short, as I realized I had a gearbox problem and just drove back to the pits. The team is already investigating the matter, so we can line-up fully-prepared at the Nurburgring. We're still a little bitter because I had all what it took to enjoy a nice run”.
