Scuderia Coloni and Luca Filippi will race together also in the last round of the GP2 season, scheduled for 21-23 September in Singapore.
After experiencing an amazing weekend in Monza, where Luca and the team clinched a dominant win in Race 1, Scuderia Coloni will again boast an all- italian line-up with Filippi and Onidi for the Asian round, an event that will see GP2 race on the Singapore street circuit for the first time.
This means that with no previous experience all the teams will start from a clean sheet: trying to find the best set-up solution in the only 30’ of Free Practice available before Qualifying will be an hard task, and the great feeling between drivers and technical staff could prove a key factor, together with the advanced simulation tools used by the engineers.
Paolo Coloni: “After the win in Monza and the unrivalled pace we showed in both races, leaving Luca without a seat wasn’t even an option. Last weekend we immediately found the same amazing feeling we had in 2011, and this will be very important in Singapore, as we will have very little time to learn and master the track.
I’m confident that we will be on the pace straight out of the box and that we’ll end the season on a high with both Luca and Fabio”.
