For the first time in series history, Los Angeles will be home to the Red Bull Global Rallycross season finale.
Los Angeles, CA - On October 8 – 9, the Port of Los Angeles will once again host the series’ signature double-header event and, for the first time in series history, Los Angeles will be home to the Red Bull Global Rallycross season finale.
“Our annual doubleheader at the Port of Los Angeles has proven one of our most popular events since its introduction three years ago,” said Red Bull GRC CEO Colin Dyne. “This year we are excited to end the 2016 season on the waterfront for the very first time, and look forward to crowning this year’s champions in our home market. We expect an incredible turnout!”
The Port of Los Angeles hosted Red Bull Global Rallycross for the first time in 2014, with Scott Speed and Rhys Millen splitting the inaugural doubleheader. In last year’s event, Speed became the first Supercar driver to sweep a doubleheader in Red Bull GRC history, propelling him to his first series championship just two months later.
In 2016, this spectacular waterfront location will host one of the series most technical tracks with a crossover jump and bridge and an all new track design that will provide the ultimate test for the cars and drivers as they battle for the championship.
