Five contingency awards announced for SCCA Pro Racing/WKA constructors championship.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (June 27, 2002) - SCCA Pro Racing, Ltd. and the World Karting Association (WKA) announced today five contingency awards for the 2002 Constructors Championship series, including programs from Grand Products, Intense Karting, Tony Kart, Margay Products, Inc., and Jim Russell Racing School.

Grand Products is offering a $250 prize to any first place ICC (CIK, Intercontinental C) competitor using a Pavesi engine and a $100 prize to any first place ICA (CIK, Intercontinental A) competitor utilizing a Comer engine.

Intense Karting will offer $100, $75 and $50 awards to drivers placing first through third in ICC and ICA events using a Vortec engine, as well as year-end awards of $200, $150 and $100 to the top three in the ICC and ICA point championships, provided they use a Vortec engine.

Tony Kart is offering $100, $75 and $50 to drivers placing first through third in any class that use a Tony Kart chassis, as well as year-end awards of $200, $150 and $100 to the top three drivers in points in each class under the same provisions.

Margay Products, Inc. is offering contingency awards to drivers using Margay chassis that include $200, $100 and $75 awards to drivers placing first through third in any class as well as year-end awards of $200, $150, and $100 to the top three in points in each class. The Margay awards could potentially total $13,500 for the entire season.

In addition to the contingency awards, the winner of the 2002 ICC Senior Constructors Championship will receive a three-day racing program from Jim Russell Racing School.
