Team Brute Strength today announced its expansion into a 2 car Holden team and will unveil the Brute Strength machines this month at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

The team is pleased to name Gary Young as the new team mate of Gavin Harvey in the 2003 V8 Brutes series. Gary '' Growler '' Young as he is affectionately known to his mates, is no stranger to the Brutal rigours of the Aussie Ute series. Gary finished 3rd in the 2001 Series and after a strong performance in 2002 is all set to build on those efforts this year.

"Last year wasn't my best year so I'll be going as fast as I can to improve on my previous best and will be trying to get a few wins under my belt." Young said.

Young is confident that the Brute Strength Utes will be hard to beat.
"Being part of a two car team is a hell of a lot better than driving on your own. Harves and I will be helping each other out increasing the strength of our team."

Brute Strength's Gavin Harvey is pleased to be partnering Young in the series.

"It's fantastic news. We're best of mates off track so that will assist both of us on track," Harvey said. "Gary and I will be putting in over 100% to ensure our rivals have something to chase in 2003."

When asked how he rates the chances of the Brute Strength team in 2003 team boss Pete Jones said "Harves and Growler are good mates and there's a real synergy between these blokes. We've assembled a good team behind them in support so they will have every chance."
