With the 2003 V8 Brutes Series almost upon us Team Brute Strength would not only like to officially welcome Gavin 'Harves' Harvey as its debut driver for the 2003 Series but, also like to welcome Gavin's Dad John Harvey and new management recruit Mike Eve to the Team.

Throughout 2003, Bathurst winner and Holden stalwart John Harvey will take an active roll, sharing Team Management with Mike Eve, previously with the 2002 Championship winning team of Warren Luff.

John's experience as a Bathurst winner and 20 years with The Holden Dealer Team well qualifies him as a natural choice for Team Management along side Mike Eve.

Gavin is no stranger to the V8 Brutes Series, after an impressive win with James Brock in the 'Great Aussie Ute Race' at Sandown in 2002.

"I'm at the stage in my career where every young racer wants to be and I thank the Team for this opportunity. I plan to put in 100% behind the wheel of the Brute Strength Holden Ute, and working with a great team will help me achieve that," Gavin Harvey said.

"I am hoping that we can string together some memorable wins that will see us dominate the year. I intend to stay out of trouble and be as consistent as possible. The team will be pumped up for a big year ahead."

Team Boss Pete Jones said, "The typical plan for 2003 will be to get out in front and stay there! Harvey's competitive nature will be an asset to the team."

Round 1 of the V8 Brutes Championship takes place in Adelaide at the Clipsal 500 from the 20th March.
