Brock's Team Brute Strength Ute won Round 7 of the V8BRute Championship at Phillip Island. The Holden SS Ute dominated the weekend, with Race 3 clinching the winner for Victorian James Brock. This is the second win for Brock and the Team Brute Strength Ute following the victory of the Sandown 500.

Race 1 saw Team Brute Strength start 9th on the grid, after a dual with Denyer and VIP Pet Foods Ute, Brock finished the race in 7th position with a time of 1:56.86.

Starting in 3rd position for Race 2, Brock's Team Brute Strength Holden Ute led the race comfortably for the 9 lap duration to win the race with the fastest time clocked at 1:55.21. Second position went to Ford driver Allan Grice followed by Gary McDonald with the Craftmaster Ute.

Starting on the front of the grid with fellow Holden driver Gary McDonald, Brock took the lead on lap 4 of the 7 lap race when McDonald faltered and spun off the track. For the remaining 3 laps, Brock dominated the race with an impressive lead to take the Team Brute Strength Ute past the chequered flag in 1st position. Brock's fastest time was on the second lap with an incredible time of 1:54.38. It was a victorious day for Holden with fellow drivers Robinson with the Kanga Loaders Ute in 2nd position and Charlie Kovacs R.E.D Express Deliveries Ute in third.

"The typical plan was to the increase the lead with a good clean race," Brock said. " Siberia and the Southern loop turns were the difference in me taking the lead for the remainder of the race."

"Everything went right for the Team Brute Strength Ute, and it was an honour to win the race on such a great track."

Brock's Team Brute Strength Holden Ute will undertake minor preparations for the final round of the V8BRute Championship at Honda Indy on the Gold Coast on the 24th October.
