Andrew Gillis, driver of the Focus Central/Fire Charger Ford Focus became the first driver of 2003 to win the coveted FLUIDYNE Cool Move of the Race award at the US Touring Car Championship (USTCC) race in Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 23, 2003. Gillis, who has shown that he is one of the fastest rookies this season, was involved in a heated battle with Patrick Sharp for most of the race. Sharp, who drives the Sharp Cellars Honda Civic, was on the attack and kept challenging Gillis lap after lap. The pair were side by side many times while being careful not to both get passed by others. Gillis was the one who finally made a bold move and made it stick to the end. For this, he earned the FLUIDYNE Cool Move of the Race award.

At each race, one driver is awarded the FLUIDYNE Cool Move of the Race award for a great move during the race. The recipient received a $500 certificate for a new FLUIDYNE racing radiator. FLUIDYNE operates out of a 16,000 square foot facility in Race City U.S.A., Mooresville, North Carolina. They are the leader in the manufacturing of cooling systems designed for racing and aftermarket applications. FLUIDYNE is the Officially Licensed Oil Cooler of NASCAR and is now the Official Competition Radiator of the IDRC.
