10. We like moody start photos and this dark, but rich in color, first corner photo of the Indy GP is lovely. Bonus points for the dust kicked up in the back. A nice way to kick off the month of May at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (until the crash, about 2 nano-seconds after this photo was taken).
9. Formula E at Monaco. The sound may be slightly underwhelming, but the racing is entertaining.
8. Fernando Alonso has a brake failure as he comes in the pits. Slow shutter speed pan of a pit stop with locked front wheel and a tiny star of light reflection off the cockpit. Photo of the race.
7. Fans complain about the lack of noise and power from the current engine regulations, but there are still some things that are uniquely racy about the series: rubber marks.
6. We haven't investigated why Hinch is running, but the inclusion of the yard of bricks makes this shot golden. Reminds us of Carl Edwards years back at Talladega after crashing on the final lap, ran across the finish line.
