Taunton based organisation Record Breakers created another record this week. Toby Holland from Wellington, Somerset successfully beat the accompanied blindfolded land speed record with an average top speed over two runs of 177.71 mph

Toby broke the previous record of 30.16 mph in a special SL Mercedes V12 - 7.3 litre formerly owned by the Sultan of Brunei. The record breaking bid took place at Elvington airfield in York on their two mile runway. Toby said "I could not have done this record without Record Breakers resident F1 trainer Mathew Mortlock. He's kept me focused and through the right direction".

I was deligherd to learn I'd beaten the previous record by more than 30mph and beaten 17 other Record Breakers challengers on the day.
