Great race! This phrase was the most used by everybody after the first race of the weekend in Norisring, talking about Enrico Toccacelo. The Italian driver, last year third in the Italian F3 Championship, after a poor qualifying session (23rd) made an incredible race, fighting like a lion but using his head. Avoiding all the possible first lap contacts started a "championship points hunt", ended with an eight place that gives the Prema Powerteam driver the 8th position in the ranking of the prestigious International Deutsche F3 Meistershaft 2000. The street circuit in Nurnberg, very fast and difficult, showed everybody how fast he was on a dry track ( 2nd fastest lap). The problems happened during the qualify, when, under an heavy rain, the lack of experience of the drivers on this track pushed them on the back of the grid: in fact Enrico was in 12th row Saturday and not qualified Sunday and the young Belgian promise Philip Cloostermans was n.q. Saturday and 16th the day after. Sadly the race finished after a few laps because of a driver too much aggressive, who crashed into Philip car destroying the rear wing. He was running very fast and, after only two laps he had already passed two adversaries. Continuing like this it was very easy for him to conclude the race in the points like his team-mate the day before. Next race is scheduled on the Sachsering circuit for Enrico Toccacelo and on the very famous Dutch track of Zandvoort for Philip Cloostermans the 6th of August.

Angelo Rosin (Team Manager): "Results don't show how fast we were, especially on dry track. We must improve our qualifying positions but I'm sure we would. I'm sorry for Philip because he had a big possibility to end the race in the points and it hasn't been possible for another person's fault. But, after all, I'm optimistic for next race, especially if it is dry."
