Argentinian driver Mauro Fartuszek won the 4th round of the Panamerican Indy-Lights Championship in Zacatecas on this Sunday.

Fartuszek started 4th, and was running third in the race until a yellow flag. He then overtook the two drivers taking the lead and holding it until the finish.

"It was a crazy move of Fartuszek and I opened the door for him, as I prefered to make more points for the championship" said Brazilian Oswaldo Negri Jr. who finished second, despite problems with his engine.

"We had great problems in the qualifying and warm-up, with the engine over heating. The oil pump had problems and we had to change it, but I was sure there was some damage on the engine, that we hadn't time to fix. So, my target was to finish in the points, and this second place was very important for the championship," said Negri.

Mariano Gonzalez from Argentina was third, followed by Cesar Jimenez and Israel Jaitovich (team mate of Negri).

In the Championship Negri has now 80 points, against 36 from Fartuszek and 34 of Waldemar Coronas (Argentina).
