The Dayton Auto Racing Fan Club (DARF) will be holding their annual "Injured Drivers and Benevolent Fund Auction" on Tuesday night, October 27, 7:00 p.m., at the Christopher Club, 3150 S. Dixie Drive. This year's auction will benefit the family of the late Pat Beebe, owner of the MARC Times Racing News. The family is facing stiff medical bills incurred during Pat's illness. Among the items gathered to date are autographed driving gloves of Darrell Waltrip, racing photographs, autographed T-shirts, hats, jackets, collectibles, and other racing memorabilia. Troy's Jack Hewitt has also donated the gloves he wore in this year's Indianapolis 500.

Speakers have been announced for the "Make A Wish Foundation" benefit being held at the St. Henry, Ohio American Legion on Saturday, November 21.

The star packed event features the following drivers and racing personalities, Brad Doty, legendary sprint car driver and television commentator, Jack Hewitt, Indy 500 competitor and 1998 winner of "4-Crown" events, Jac Haudenschild, 1998 Kings Royal winner, Kenny Jacobs, 1998 All Star points champion, Dean Jacobs, finished fourth in the All Star Sprint points battle. Earl Baltes, legendary promoter and racing personality, and Terry Baltes will be the emcee.

The program starts at 5:00 p.m. and after the program there will be an auction of donated race items. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be given to the "Make a Wish" foundation.

Only 225 tickets will be sold. Ticket price will be $20.00 each and obtained by calling the St. Henry Nite Club (419) 678-9906, or stopping at:

T. C. Collectibles is open on Tuesday & Wednesday Nights from 5:00 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. and Sat. from 9:00 am till 2:00 p.m.
