Another interesting race of the T.C. 2000 we lived in Oberá in the north of Argentina.

The activity for the sixth competition started on saturday with rain, like all the weekend, during the qulify.

The winner of the last race, Cingolani took the pole position, with a second of difference to the second Silva. Third finished the leader of the championship until this race, Gabriel Furlán and fourth Fontana, second in the championship.

On sunday the rain keep bothering durin the two series. In the first one Cingolani won with a good difference over the second Furlán.

The second series was won by Fontana with the Toyota. Second finished Bugliotti who passed Hernández in the last lap. Fourth finished the young driver Juan Manuel López in his best result with the Alfa Romeo.

For the final race the rain seemes stopped but the circuit keep wet.

Fontana started in first because he made the fastest series. Behind were Cingolani, Bugliotti, Furlán, Hernández , etc.

In the first laps Fontana scaped from the rest. Hernández passed Cingolani for the second place. Bugliotti and Cingolani were the only with wet tyres in the frrst positions. In lap fourth the Pace Car entered for three laps. When the race restarted a touch between Furlán and Tuero, leaved Tuero and Silva out.

Hernández was second but he went out of the track and lost some positions.

After ten laps Fontana keep leading followed by Cingolani, Yanantuoni, Martínez, etc.

Cingolani started to loose perfonmance in his Honda and the went to pits in search of slicks tyres.

The two Toyota were in the first two positions. Ortelli was in a grat third place after started 22th. , but he quit in lap 20 with problems in the garbox of the Honda.

In tha lasts laps the only interesting was the firght for the third place between Hernández, Yanantuoni and Furlán.

After 40 of the 48 laps and one hour of competition, Fontana won his race number five of the 18 he disputed since he joined the category in 2001 season. Fonatna showed one more time that he is the big candidate to win the championship and the best argentinian driver. May be today he must be compiting in Silverstone.....

Hernández finished in an important third place. He was the only Ford Focus in this race because the champion Ponce de León was suspended for one race due to a touch in the San Juan race.

With six races disputed Fontana is the leader with 60 points over Furlán with 53 and Martínez 49.

Next race of the T.C. 2000 will be in July 28th. in Córdoba.
