Mayo & District Motorsport Club hold their annual National Autocross event on Sunday 11th June at Cormac Hanley's School of Equitation.

Competitors from all over Ireland will travel to the Claremorris venue for this 3rd Round of the Gordon Percy Engine Centre sponsored National Autocross Championship 2000.

The action gets underway with practice at 11 a.m. From 12 noon, the timed runs start with each competitor having the opportunity to complete three laps of a temporary marked out circuit on a grass surface on three occasions during the day.

Many different classes of cars will be participating from Standard Production to modified Mark II Escorts and the "Specials" - hand built buggies, powered by various engine manufacturers.

Mayo & District Motorsport Club will have a strong representation, all aiming to put up a strong challenge to the stiff competition from the National Series front runners.

Prizegiving takes place in the Old Arch Bar & Restaurant, James Street at 6 p.m.
