"Motor Sports Weekly" Claims 3 Emmy Awards

"And the winner is? Motor Sports Weekly." Those were the words exclaimed three times at the Mid-America Chapter Emmy Awards as MSW picked up three gold trophies after just it's first season of broadcast. No single show in the region won more Emmys than Motor Sports Weekly.

The prime-time racing show was awarded in the following categories:

Art Director Designer/Other Than News

Scenic Designer

Best Sports Program

"The Best Sports Program Emmy was the real kicker for me," said Executive Producer Jeff Fortune. "I was so happy for everyone on the show who worked so hard to make MSW a winner. All these accolades are a true sign of the MSW staff and the crew at Technisonic Studio's unrelenting commitment to excellence in television production and racing coverage."

"Just a perfect ending to a Cinderella season," added Host Pete Peterson.

"Our goal from the start was to produce a top-notch TV show for the motor sports enthusiasts, and we did just that. It was great for a motor sports show to receive the highest honor in all of sports programming. That says a lot about the popularity of racing in the country, to beat out the traditional sports shows focusing on stick and ball sports. "

The show, now in its second-season, can be seen on FOX Sports Net Midwest on Fridays at 9 p.m. and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. through October 23rd.
