Portland, OR. August, 20. Kami Rangeloff, 21, of Tappen, ND has been crowned Miss Portland Speedway for the 2001 season. Rangeloff, a 1997 graduate of Tappen Public High School said, "this accomplishment a great honor, and I hope to be a great ambassador for the speedway."

Rangeloff currently works at IKON Office Solutions in the billing department, and hopes to someday pursue her dream of acting. Racing has always been part of Rangeloff's life, as she attended racing events with her family growing up. She admires the speed and skill at which drivers perform; Rangeloff would someday like to get behind the wheel of a NASCAR Late Model. When asked who she most admires in racing, Rangeloff responded, "I really like Dale Earnhardt Sr., he seems to be the most straight forward guy, and one of the best drivers with great instincts. He always seems to come out on top."

"Since driving a racecar is not on my immediate radar screen, becoming Miss Portland Speedway is the next best thing, it will keep me involved with racing," Rangeloff stated. Rangeloff's duties will include trophy presentations at each racing event in 2001, as well as being present at charity functions and representing Portland Speedway in community functions.
