A Test Session with a Clio for Luca Casadei

After last season's setback due to budget problems, Luca Casadei seems the have a new opportunity in 2004. The young driver from Forli, Italy, has been invited by the Rangoni Team to participate in a test session behind the wheel of a Clio from the Clio Italian Cup. The test session behind the little touring car will held on the Roman Vallelunga track on Saturday Feb.7th and Sunday Feb. 8th.

This is a first for Luca Casadei who has for the last two years been busy with the Formula Renault Monza and Formula Renault 2000 single seaters.

The Clio's engine has a displacement of 1.998 cc and has 180 hp. The car also has a sequential 6 speed gearbox and a steel chassis with an integrated roll bar. The car's weight is approximately 900kg.

Luca Casadei
"The 2003 season wasn't a very positive one. Although it started off well, constant problems with my budget influenced my first season in the Formula Renault 2000 Championship. So much so, that I had to miss out on the last 4 races. The Rangoni Team has given me a new chance: to debut on a touring car. After six months of abstinence, I look forward to getting back in the track. I'm very enthusiastic and I hope to repay the team for the faith it has in me. I hope to make a good impression!"
