James Yott and Frederic Martel have left the KEY Motorsport Formula 1600 racing team due to budget difficulties, the team announced today.

"We regret that James and Frederic have left the KEY Motorsport family due to their budget restraints," explained team owner Steve Djelebian. "On behalf of the team, I would like to thank James and Frederic for their contributions to the team and wish them the very best in their future endeavours."

Martel and Yott are expected to be at the Player's Grand Prix of Trois Rivières with alternate teams. Marc DeVillis of Burnaby, BC will be the lone driver representing KEY Motorsport in the Canadian Formula Ford Championship.

Canadian racing standout Marc-Antoine Camirand will be driving for World Speed Motorsports at the Player's Grand Prix of Trois Rivières. Camirand currently competes in the US Formula 2000 Championship and is in the midst of a championship battle with Aaron Justus.

The young sensation will compete in both the Toyota Atlantic Championship and the US Formula 2000 Championship on the same weekend.

" I know the circuit very well and I have had a lot of success in Trois Rivières during the past events here. I have a lot pressure because it is my home race."

After several weeks of negotiations, he finally succeeded in carrying out his dream, driving in Formula Atlantic. Camirand will team up with fellow Quebec racing driver Jean-François Veilleux within the World Speed team.

Marc-Antoine will take part in tests at Shannonville this weekend, assisted by Player's driver consultant Richard Spenard.
