Salem, IN (August 15, 2001) - Pay Less 400 winner Bull Baker continued his hot streak by claiming the Contractors Underground Fast Qualifier honors at Toledo Speedway on Friday, August 3, and was set to claim a record Rug Doctors Clean Sweep Award. Unfortunately Bull's luck ran out after qualifying, Bull drew a 8 on the invert for the start of the Sunoco 100 which put Bull on the outside of row 4. Bull lost several positions to drivers on the inside, which is the preferred line at Toledo Speedway early in the event. Bull struggled to gain back positions, but he had to settle for a tenth place finish watching legendary driver Junior Hanley claim his first Kendall Series victory of 2001.

The record Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award will make Saturday's qualifying for the UAW Family Labor Night 100 at Indianapolis Raceway Park even more interesting, as the Contractors Underground Fast Qualifier for the UAW Family Labor Night 100 will be the only driver eligible for the Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award of $1400, if he can also win the UAW Family Labor Night 100. The event is expected to draw over 20,000 fans for the fourth season in a row.

There have been two Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Awards won this season, Brian Ross claimed the first award worth $800 on May 27 at Plymouth Speedway. Peter Cozzolino claimed the last Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award of the season on June 16 at Winchester Speedway. The award had grown to $600 before Peter claimed it.

Practice and Qualifying for the UAW Family Labor Night 100 will take place on Saturday, August 18 starting at 2PM. The UAW Family Labor Night 100 will take the green flag at approximately 9:30PM.
