Joel Kauffman Wins Hubler Group Rookie Of The Year Award

Salem, IN (October 25, 2001) – Fifteen-year-old Joel Kauffman has put his name in the record books again, this time he is the youngest driver in the history of the Kendall Late Model Series to win the cherished Hubler Group Rookie Of The Year Award. Kauffman follows in the footsteps of two of the series biggest stars, Scott Hantz, the 2000 Hubler Group Rookie Of The Year, and Peter Cozzolino, the 1999 Hubler Group Rookie Of The Year.

Kauffman at a great season with a final hard fought sixth place finish in the 2001 Kendall Late Model Series point’s standings. Kauffman had three top five finishes to go along with seven top ten finishes. Kauffman also captured one Contractors Underground Fast Qualifier Award on June 9th at Anderson Speedway.

For his efforts, the Hubler Group will award Kuaffman with a $1000 bonus and trophy at the 2001 Kendall Late Model Series Awards Banquet in January. In addition, Kuaffman will also receive a Five Star Racecar Body, a $400 Product Certificate from Sweet Manufacturing, a $200 Product Certificate from RJS Racing Equipment, a $200 Product Certificate from High Performance Racing Cards, a $200 Product Certificate from Dynatech Headers, a $100 Product Certificate from U.S. Brake, a $100 Product Certificate from Bassett Racing Wheels, a $100 Product Certificate from Ringers Gloves, and a $100 Product Certificate from Motorsports Spares.
