Jean Todt, other FIA delegates uninjured in deadly Nepal earthquake

The inaugural Asia-Pacific Sport Regional Congress was interrupted by a deadly earthquake, that shook the region.

Yesterday, the first ever Asia-Pacific Sport Regional Congress kicked off in Kathmandu, Nepal ... An area that would soon be immediately affected by a violent earthquake. 

"In an effort to coordinate the action of National Sporting Authorities on the ground, the FIA has set up the Regional Congresses for delegates to exchange views and experiences pertaining to the development of motor sport," an official FIA release read, describing the purpose of the APRC.

During the multi-day conference, a deadly 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked the region, leaving over 1,500 dead. All FIA delegates, including President Jean Todt and VP Morrie Chandler escaped the natural disaster unscathed.

45 delegates from 14 different countries were sent to attend the event over the three-day period. Vicky Chandhok (father of Karun) posted the following messages on his personal Twitter account.
