Great American Pro Truck Challenge at Greenville Pickens Speedway Wednesday night July 3rd.
The Great American Pro Truck Challenge is coming to Greenville Pickens Speedway on Wednesday night, July 3, as part of the Great American Motor Fair. The 100 lap racing event is the kick off for the Great American Motor Fair and has been dubbed the "Freedom 100". It is one of two premiere oval track racing events featured during the four day motorsports extravaganza, which will run July 3rd through 6th at the historic half mile oval. The unique challenge event will bring drivers from across the nation to NASCAR's second oldest facility to determine who is the undisputed King of Pro Truck racing.
Drivers expected to compete in the "Freedom 100" include Series champions, track champions, and challengers from the Florida based Fastrucks racing series, Southern All Stars Pro Trucks, Parts Pro Trucks, and regulars at Concord Motorsports Park and Lanier National Speedway. All these Series and tracks run similar rules and this race is designed to give these competitiors a chance to compete against each other on neutral turf. Great American Motor Fair promoter Pete Walton worked overtime to bring these Series champions and challengers together for this one time, unique event.
The "Freedom 100" will also include a special event for the Greenville-Pickens Speedway Charger and Super Stock divisions. An increased purse plus the special added attraction of qualifying heat races and a 20 lap feature for both divisions will also be on the race card.
Pole qualifying will be at 7pm, with the first race set to roll at 8. Adult general admission will be $15, kids 6-12 will be $5.00, and under 6 will be free with a paying adult.
