New Egypt, NJ (June 22) -- Get ready to rumble at New Egypt Speedway on Monday, July 3, when Haldeman Ford of Hamilton presents the rough-and-tumble Night of Destruction 2000, featuring Monster Trucks, fireworks and more.

Headlining the field is the notorious Grave Digger, the meanest, greenest Monster Truck known throughout the land, with wild-man driver Dennis Anderson at the controls. Although widely recognized as the master of disaster among Monster Trucks, Grave Digger will have some heavy-duty competition at New Egypt from Psycho Circus, Sudden Impact, Eradicator, Demon and First Response, who are all itching to topple the king. The daring truck-tumbling, car-crushing feats that are sure to ensue will keep fans on their feet.

In addition to the chaotic Monster Truck battle, the July 3 program will also feature Captain Explosion, Jet Truck Meltdown, Tuff Truck competition and the mind-blowing Mobile Home Drive-Thru with stuntman Mike Foster, all capped by a fabulous fireworks display in celebration of the holiday.

Starting at 4 pm, there'll be Monster Truck rides for the kids. An "autograph alley" session with the drivers will take place between 6 and 7 pm.

The Grave Digger Monster Truck will also be on display at Haldeman Ford, Route 33 in Hamilton, NJ, from noon to 4 pm on Saturday, July 1. Fans can get an up-close audience with the King of the Monster Mashers, and also pick up a discount coupon good for $5.00 off a child's admission for the July 3 show.

New Egypt's Night of Destruction 2000 is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 pm. Gates open at 4 pm. Rain date is July 4. Adult admission is $20, children ages 7-12 are $15, and kids 6 and under are free. New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539, minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike. For more information, call the raceway at (609) 758-1900.
