MOTORSPORTS VEHICLES, STREET CARS, TRUCKS, MOTORCYCLES AND HOT RODS ALL WELCOME AT LOS ANGELES' PETERSEN AUTOMOTIVE MUSEUM SATUDAY, DECEMBER 17 FOR FIRST ANNUAL "SPIRIT OF THE SEASON" CONTEST Dress up your car, truck or motorcycle for the holidays and bring it to the brand-new Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles Saturday, December 17 for the first annual Petersen Museum-710/TALK KMPC radio "Spirit of the Holidays" contest. Free admission for two to the Museum that day and free parking...a $20 value. Judges include Dick Messer, Director of the Petersen Museum, hot rod legend Boyd Coddington and NHRA National Drag Racing Champion from the 1960s and the co-creator of the Pontiac GTO, Jim Wangers. The Petersen Automotive Museum received initial funding from Robert Petersen, publisher of HOT ROD, MOTOR TREND, CAR CRAFT and about 25 other monthly titles. The Museum is part of the LA County Museums of Natural History. The Petersen Museum includes numerous race cars ranging from JC Agajanian's Indy racer which was driven to victory at the Brickyard in the early 1950s to Mickey Thompson's Challenger I, the Sommer's Bros.
