Bobby Parsley Racing Thanksgiving Weekend Kentucky Driver Makes Third KLMS Entry at SNS Salem, IN (November 21, 2001) – One of the most improved racers in the Kendall Late Model Series, Bobby Parsley will travel south this weekend to compete in the 4th Annual Bailey’s Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Speedway from November 23-25.

“It will be fun this weekend to race at Southern National Speedway and not worry about racing for points,” said Bobby Parsley. “The Kendall season finished about a month ago, and I’m getting bored, so figured racing in the Thanksgiving Classic would solve that desire,” added the native of Shepherdsville, KY.

Southern National Speedway is a .400-mile oval located in Kenly, North Carolina, which has been described as a combination of Anderson and Angola speedways. Parsley has had some of his best runs at Anderson Speedway, finishing fourth in the Pay Less 400 at the quarter-mile in July.

In 2001, Parsley finished in the top five on two occasions and also posted seven top tens in 16 starts.

“After we got our motor problems solved, we’re able to have some pretty good runs,” said the 18-year old. “Junior (Hanley) was a huge help this season. He taught me more in three weeks than I have learned in five years,” added Parsley. Junior Hanley of Campbellville, ON, who finished the 2001 season with six consecutive victories, helped Parley in several events this season.

In 2002, Parsley and the Bobby Parsley Racing team will return to the Kendall Late Model Series. “Next season the goals are to finish in the top five in points and win a couple of races.”

Bobby Parsley will be competing in the 4th Annual Bailey’s Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Speedway from November 23-25. On Friday, November 23, there will be practice available from 12-5 with qualifying taking place on Saturday. On Sunday, the 200-lap late model event will take center stage at the .400-mile North Carolina oval.
